Overview
Program description:
The Doctoral School of Mechanical Engineering has been working in the frame of the Institute of Technology of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (earlier Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Szent Istvan University) since 1993. The main topics are engineering and energetics, but numerous multidisciplinary researches are also carried out connected to life and environmental sciences. The Doctoral School provides the possibility of participation in international projects and in cooperation with doctoral schools of Hungarian and foreign universities fulfilling the international standards. The first two years are the training period including courses, research and publications. After a successful complex exam closing the first two years, another two-year long period, the so-called research and dissertation phase starts, which is finished with the dissertation. The number of the PhD students of the school at this moment is 36, and 122 PhD researches have been completed successfully till now.

At least good level of MSc diploma in the field of engineering (mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, mechatronical engineer, architect, engineering management), min. B2 level of English

Entrance exam description:
After the assessment of the uploaded documents (preliminary studies, language certificate, preliminary research documents, list of publications, research plan etc.) a Skype interview will be organized with the selected candidates in order to check their language skills and professional background. After all, the admission committee decides about the admission or rejection.
