Overview
Program description:
In 2023, the 2 doctoral schools in the field of management and regional sciences at MATE were merged into the Doctoral School of Economic and Regional Sciences forming a multi-campus doctoral school. The Doctoral School of Economic and Regional Sciences welcomes students at both the Szent István Campus in Gödöllő and at Kaposvár Campus.
The Doctoral School has two disciplines: the Doctoral Program in Management and Organizational Science, and the Doctoral Program in Regional Sciences.
Your PhD degree will indicate both programs. Usually, a lot of students from foreign countries join our programs within a scholarship or in a self-financed way.
The aim of the Doctoral School is to create an active national and international research environment on relevant topics for PhD students who deal with related issues in regional sustainable development in developed and developing countries, focusing on the contribution of SMEs to private and public sectors in a theoretical and empirical manner. The sectors of agriculture and food industry are at the centre of our research.
