Entry qualification | High school / secondary education (or higher) 20-30 minutes long online interview (via Skype or GoogleChat) The Centre for International Relations will contact all applicants to set up a suitable time for the online interview (Skype, GoogleChat). Applicants will be interviewed by appointed staff members from the Department and the Centre for International Relations. Professors will check the applicant’s preliminary knowledge of the chosen study area and motivation. The Centre for International Relations will check the language skills and intercultural competences of the applicant.The admission decision is based on the following results:- result of previous studies (max. 20 points), CV, motivation letter (max. 20 points, online interview (max. 60 points) Minimum admission requirements: 60 points. Those applicants who gain less than 5 points in any section of the admission procedure will be rejected. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. |

Overview
Description
This 36-week course covers one academic year from September to June (two semesters) and it contains 800 – 1000 contact hours. Students can also learn about Hungary and Hungarian culture dedicated to cooperative language learning in which students prepare presentations to show in class.
We learn the basics of the Hungarian language. To be able to speak Hungarian with confidence from the first day, students are exposed to a balanced treatment of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and skills combined with communicative strategies and learn the basics of economics, science and technology. Tuition involves 20-30 language classes per week
The main objective of the Preparatory Course is to develop students’ speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills in Hungarian to attain intermediate (B1) level. We also focus on developing our students’ soft skills and personal competences, raising their intercultural awareness, and giving them an opportunity to establish strong ties to Hungary and Hungarian culture. Examination: the conditions for starting the second semester and completion of the course are successful written and oral exams at the end of the semesters.
