Overview
Description
The aim of the Master’s degree is to train mechanical engineers who can develop, model, design, operate, manage, and maintain mechanical systems and processes. Graduates will be skilled in applying energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable mechanical engineering technologies, developing new materials and production methods, and performing technical development, research, design, and innovation. They will also be prepared to take on leadership, management, and organizational roles, as well as participate in and oversee engineering projects at both national and international levels. Additionally, the program provides a strong foundation for further studies at the doctoral level.

Foreign language requirements
Candidates from countries where English is not the language of instruction need to have an internationally accepted English exam: the minimum is a complex (combination of oral and written) intermediate level (B2) language exam, or an equivalent secondary school leaving examination or diploma.

mathematics and computational methods,
electrical and measurement sciences,
manufacturing and industrial systems,
economic and management sciences.
Professional practice
The professional practice is a continuous placement of at least four weeks in a professional training centre or at a company, the further requirements are specified in the curriculum. The fulfilment of professional practice is a criterion requirement, closely linked to the diploma thesis.
Mechanical engineers with an MSc degree are able to:
apply and put into practice the knowledge acquired, using problem-solving techniques,
elaborate information about the limits of knowledge, new problems and new phenomena arising from professional experience in the discipline,
formulate, as far as possible, correct criticisms or opinions, make decisions and draw conclusions,
understand and solve problems to be solved, and coming up with original ideas,
plan and carry out tasks independently and to a high professional standard,
self-education, self-development to raise their own knowledge to a higher level,
a complex approach to the management of technical – economic – human resources,
global design of complex systems based on a systems and process-oriented mindset,
apply integrated knowledge of machinery, engineering equipment and processes, engineering materials and technologies, and related electronics and information technology,
the application of procedures, models and information technologies used in the design, organization and operation of engineering systems,
quality assurance of engineering systems and technologies, metrology and signal processing,
depending on the specialization chosen, the analysis, development, design, manufacture and operation of machines and equipment for materials science, mechanical engineering, production technology, design, production management, instrumentation, flow and thermal engineering processes and procedures.
After the MSc program you can continue your studies in doctoral (PhD) program.
