Overview
Description
The aim of the program is to train broad-minded and highly skilled technical specialists who are capable of designing, developing, and manufacturing mechanical engineering equipment, as well as solving technological challenges in the mechanical industry. Students will acquire knowledge in applying physical sciences to engineering, along with modern methods for organizing and managing production and operation. The program prepares graduates for both national and international career opportunities while also providing a strong theoretical foundation for pursuing a Master’s degree (MSc).

Foreign language requirements
Candidates from countries where English is not the language of instruction need to have an internationally accepted English exam: the minimum is a complex (combination of oral and written) intermediate level (B2) language exam, or an equivalent secondary school leaving examination or diploma.

Professional practice
The professional practice (industrial practice) shall be at least 6-week long placement at a professional, industrial company. The professional practice is criterial for achieving degree.
Mechanical engineers with a BSc degree are able to accomplish the following tasks:
Understand and apply fundamental engineering principles, including mathematics, physics, and material science.
Utilize machine design, manufacturing technologies, and control procedures to develop mechanical systems.
Analyze and model the construction, operation, and interrelation of mechanical system components.
Apply computational and modeling methods to engineering product, process, and technology design.
Use structural materials appropriately, considering their manufacturing processes and application conditions.
Diagnose mechanical malfunctions, select appropriate troubleshooting operations, and perform repairs.
Manage and control technological production processes while incorporating quality assurance and control.
Analyze engineering literature, databases, and IT resources to support technical decision-making.
Apply IT tools and engineering software proficiently in modeling, simulation, and problem-solving.
Utilize business economics and cost-benefit analysis to optimize technical projects.
Supervise and ensure the proper operation of machinery and mechanical systems in industrial environments.
